Consumer Proposals have increased as the ability to Re-finance has been eliminated!
According to the recent stats from Industry Canada the number of Consumer Proposals in Canada were up 4.4% from the previous year. With the new mortgage refinance guidelines which only allow a person to refinance their mortgage up to a maximum of 80% of the total value of their home, and with consumer debt still increasing more people find a Consumer Proposal is their only way out of their current situation.
